We recommend clearing small items, ornaments and lightweight furniture from carpeted areas before your appointment. Moving larger pieces helps us give you the most thorough clean possible, but we understand that not everything can be shifted. Discuss what is practical when you book and we will work around your circumstances.

Results depend on the stain type, how long it has been present, and whether it has already been treated with home products. Some stains — particularly those that have set over a long period or been treated with bleach-based products — may not lift completely. We will give you an honest, realistic assessment before we start rather than making promises we cannot keep.

Professional hot water extraction equipment operates at significantly higher temperatures and generates far greater suction than consumer-hire machines. This means more of the heated water — along with the dirt and soiling it lifts — is extracted from the carpet during the clean, leaving less residue behind. Home-hire machines also require the user to operate them correctly; over-wetting a carpet with a consumer machine and leaving it without adequate airflow can cause issues that professional equipment avoids by extracting the water more thoroughly.
